SAT Prep

<p>I am currently a junior in high school who is struggling with prepping for the SAT’s. I took the SAT in October 2011 (580 CR, 660 writing, 700 math). I honestly don’t know what happened. I think it might have been the lack of sleep.
CR breakdown:
12/19 on sentence completion
36/48 on passage
Writing breakdown:
45/49 on MC (all mistakes in identifying errors -.-)
8 on essay
Math breakdown:
50/54 (number and operation screwed me up)</p>

<p>I’m taking the SAT again in March. I’m wondering what is the most effective way to study for the SAT’s with the time I have left. I am currently using the 300 essential sat words for vocab. For passage, I am using the Barron’s CR book. I am using the Gruber’s SAT Guide and Barron’s SAT 2400 for writing MC. Any advice?
Current academic record:
Rank 21/542 (freshmen year screwed me up but I managed to 4.00 (unweighted) my sophomore yr and 1st semester of junior yr).
Freshmen Year:
English 1A, Spanish 1, PE 1, Physics A, Guitar 1, Algebra 2
Sophomore Year:
English 2A, Spanish 2, Chemistry/HNR, Biology, WHAP, Pre-Calc.
Junior Year:
English 3 (don’t like English -_-), Spanish 3, Physics/AP, APUSH, Journalism, Calc. AB
Plan for Senior Year:
English 4, Spanish 4AP, Calc. BC, Statistics AP, Micro. Econ. AP, PE 2
WHAP AP Score: 4
SAT Chemistry: 770
SAT Math lv 2: pending but probably not 800
I really want to get into UCLA, but the SAT is killing me. Math and Science have always been my strength, but English is never my forte. However, I feel like I have a lot of potential to do well in English. Not trying to brag, but it’s just my hunch.
Is there anything I can do to get 2250+ on the SAT? :(</p>
