SAT Prep

I am a sophomore and I got a 1390 on my PSAT without studying. I was wondering what are the best ways to improve my score including books and classroom test prep. I was wondering if I should do self-studying and group prep or if I should just slef-study.

There is lots of detailed advice elsewhere on this site. You can find some of the best advice if you search the “Xiggi Method.” Short answer – for a bright student and strong test-taker such as yourself, a group class would be a waste of time and money. You are better off doing the Xiggi method on your own, if you are self-motivated enough, or find a one-on-one or very small group tutor who uses the same or similar approach. After you do more research, if you have more questions, you are welcome to contact me with a private message.

Wow thank you so much @SoccerMomGenie the Xiggi method looks amazing. Thank you so much for informing me about it and I will contact you later. Thanks

I would be hesitant to make such generalizations. At this point in time you probably know what works for you and what does not. There really is no secret to doing well on test like the SAT, GRE, etc. it really is just a matter of practice. Get a hold of as many practice test you can and do them over and over. Identify which type of problems give you trouble and then study methods and techniques for solving those.
