SAT preparations

hello everyone =)

I wish to take SAT, but I am worried that I am unable to do well =(. Is there any sources to help me to prepare for this test? Would greatly appreciate any recommendations =)

Doughnuts!

Try to take a practice test to see your strengths / weaknesses and know which books to get.
A must have is the Blue Book (The official guide by the college board)
Good preparation books are grubers / Baronn’s /Princeton Review.
If you only get stuck in math then get Gruber’s complete Math sat guide.
For vocab, you have many lists available (People swear by the Direct Hits books by Larry Kreiger), there are also great free lists available by sparknotes.com (essential words) and Powerscore.com (Essential, easy, medium, hard & people)
For grammer, any prep book + a lot of high quality reading + Silver Turtle’s grammer guide (sticky in this forum) can help a lot, I started grammer with about 33/49 correct using silver turtle + a lot of reading (long arcticles, NY times, chronicle etc) I can now score about 45/49 and English is my second language.
Good luck! :)

Basically,
CollegeBoard’s Blue book
Barron’s
Direct Hits
as many practice test as possible…

THANK YOU! I wonder will it affect me if I am living in Singapore =P

what will affect you?

I’ve had friends from Singapore and HK take the test too and they were fine!

Be careful with the Blue Book - the questions seem to be a lot easier than the actual test!!!

Any advice your friends in Singapore can give me?
