SAT progress good enough?

I just finished sophomore year and right now I’m finding that the SAT’s are one of my biggest challenges. I just started prepping by taking a practice test everyweek and so far my scores have been for 6 weeks
1670
1800
1810
1820
1870
1850
Is this a normal amount of progress? I really want to be able to have a score of 21-2250 and I hope there’s hope. To me i seems like… my scores are in a rut… and i wanted to take my first SAT in oct. but now im having second thoughts…

Your rate of improvement depends on your intelligence. Make sure you prioritize your time wisely. For example, don’t waste your time learning massive word lists, which are only useful to people aiming for a perfect score.

I memorized a few hundred words and my CR score went up 80pts. So words are important.

Generally the CB tests are easier than tests from practice books/classes. In addition, you’ll be much more refreshed and concentrated during the CB test.

I am taking a practice test every week too, and my scores tend do make big leaps rather than gradual change, which is really weird. Here they are:

2050 - actual CB
2020
<jump>
2180 - actual CB
2190
2180
<jump>
2250 - actual CB</jump></jump>

the actual CB tests are pre-released ones and i tend to make jumps on those.

im hoping that if i study for a few months . ill be able to jump bigger gaps… because i guess itll take longer than 8 weeks for me…

you’ll do fine- you’re making good progress

i doubt anyone cares. and it’s not like im trying to flaunt nething because i know there are people on this site with phenomenal scores. BUT
I’M HAPPY … on my last practice test i got a 2070!!! big jump for me
o and it was the jan 2006 test

now its time to bring up math and my timed essay sco
res i do believe…

hey it’s all good i went from 1860 to 2120.
just a little more & i can take it in peace in october :)
