SAT question marathon

Note: I’m sorta new here, so pardon any mistakes in forum etiquette

I want to start an SAT question marathon. Basically, I start by posting one SAT level question of each subject (M, R, W). The next poster solves one, two, or three questions (posting the solution) and posts new questions. This continues on…

The new poster must post (a) new question(s) in the same subject as that of the question(s) (s)he answered. For example, if the person below me solved a math, (s)he would post a new math question.

It is very important to post a new question! If you post a new question from an SAT book, you get twice the practice (by answering two SAT questions, the one in the thread and the one in the book). If you make up a new question, you also get twice the practice. Also, please don’t post baby questions; by posting an advanced question, you can learn a new math concept, vocabulary word, or grammar style, and remember it thoroughly!

Let’s try to have one question of each type at all times.

I guess I start:

1M
Jon has five cards. Four cards are black on one side and red on the other, while one is red on both sides. Jon randomly picks a card and notes the color of the face he sees. Given that the face is red, what is the probability that the card is red on both sides?
(A) 1/6
(B) 1/5
(C) 1/4
(D) 1/3
(E) There is not enough information to solve the problem.

Unlike the star’s other fans, who praised him whenever they could get a chance, Frank was not ___.
(A) modest
(B) histrionic
(C) ephemeral
(D) obsequious
(E) reticent

1W
