SAT Reporting Timetable

Howdy CC boarders,

I just have a quick question about SAT score reporting times. I’m sure that I am fine, but thinking about this will just plague me to no end. I plan on taking 2 subject tests on the October 6th [English and US History] as well as taking the SAT I [for the second time] on the November 3rd. If I list all my schools to report to when I sign up for the November 3rd test, will they all be able to recieve by January 1st score reporting deadlines?

I am just trying to grasp if, for instance, the college can get the scores when they are posted online (November 20th). Because I know that if you want to send afterwards, it can take up to five weeks for colleges to recieve.

Thanks!

At most colleges, the November SAT test date is timely for the regular admission cycle. You’d have to check college admission Web sites one by one to note any exceptions, but that’s the general rule. Are you planning to apply early anywhere?

RD you are safe  typically taking December SAT even and not reporting rush…
…November is definitely safe…in fact there are EA schools
that accept November scores reported normally (i.e no rush)…

It would help you a lot if you have narrowed down your college list to
identify cutoff dates rather than enmasse…?

;)
also another caveat is that special applications —for example applying to
Stanford with an Arts supplement may require early completion of the
entire app by Nov 15th for RD (even though the RD deadline is Jan 1)…
…so to be really really get into the details now rather than later…

Thanks. I am not applying early decision/action anywhere.
