SAT Retake Date Unknown??

Northern Illinois University’s(NIUs) application asks if you’ll be retaking the SAT, and if so, on which date with a list of dates(Oct 5, Nov 2, etc.). However, due to a teacher’s strike in my school district, our retake date was moved to October 30th, which is not an option on the list. Furthermore, the strike is still on, and I don’t know if I’ll even retake the SAT on the 30th(tomorrow) because I don’t know if there will be school tomorrow.

TLDR: I don’t know when I’m retaking the SAT. Should I just say that I’m not retaking it?

NIU knows all about that strike. Pick up the phone. Call them. Have a chat about what to do about the SAT re-take date. It will give you something to do while you are on this extended break from school.

Then go join your teachers and school support staff on the picket line. They are striking for students like you.

It’s not going to make a big difference. List the originally scheduled date or the date closest to it. All AOs, and certainly those in IL, know that there is a strike in Chicago Public Schools.
