So i have just applied to my EA Colleges and I have a low SAT with a moderate GPA (1350 and 4.14). I was wondering if I should retake the sat in December for my last 2 school applications due in Janurary (WASHU and Northwestern). Should I do it?
The middle 50% SAT range for Northwestern is about 1440 to 1550, so your 1350 is at the low end. Have you identified the obstacles in your last SAT? Did you run out of time? Did you not know the material? Did you make careless errors? If you have an idea about what went wrong, and you know how to correct them, then go ahead for the December test; otherwise, it would be hard to raise the score.
I agree that you may want to see if you can get more into that middle range score for Northwestern and WASHU. You’ll just need to do some work to figure out what you’re missing on the exam. Good luck!
