SAT Scholarship

I will be attending UT Austin in 2 years and I would like to know if UT offers any merit scholarships for the SAT I test. I will be attending the natural science college.

No, there are no scholarships simply based on your SAT score. Unlike some colleges and universities UT has much more rigorous standards for scholarships considering the quality of students it already attracts. If you are a National Merit Finalist (PSAT) then there are scholarships out there, but none simply on your SAT score.

National Merit–but it’s based on your SAT score and it’s not that much money. Better than comparable universities, but you won’t be getting any more than half of tuition.

And if I recall correctly I don’t think the natural science college itself offers any merit scholarships, so your best bet is probably outside scholarships and work study.

National Merit is based solely on PSAT scores from the junior year, not SAT. It really is not that much, $4000 the first year for finalists, not sure how much after that.

I’m not aware of any scholarships based solely on SAT scores. You can check with your department to see if they offer any merit-based aid.
