SAT Score for Princeton?

So I thought the October SAT would be okay, so I used the 4 free score reports. But it turned out not to be what I expected because I never scored that low on practice tests.

However, Princeton does have my ACT score (which is close to perfect).

My question is: will Princeton focus more on my ACT score (which I scored better on) or my SAT score ( which seems to be the focus of east coast schools?) I know Princeton focuses on scores a lot, so should I try to retake the SAT? I fear that if I do, Princeton might see me as “test obssesive” but what if it actually helps?

I have also heard that after a certain point, scores don’t make or break you. Does anyone know what this score range is?

Does anyone have an idea?

I’m pretty sure the SAT and the ACT are evenly weighted.

I personally took the SAT, but my college counselor implied that either test would be perfectly fine.

Also, I’m not quite sure I agree with your comment that Princeton “focuses on scores a lot.” Of course, scores are important, but I don’t feel Pton in particular focuses on scores more than any of its rival universities. Being test obsessive wouldn’t really help (my counselor said that admissions officers are actually turned off by this). I would say that the UC’s for example, rely much more on a number-based admissions policy.

Thanks. I just heard from my counselor and others on CC that Princeton focuses on scores a lot.

So in that caes, they would just give more weight to the one I scored higher on (ACT), right?
