I messed up … I got a 1590 on the SAT and now i can’t retake it because i waited too long and all test dates that are left are subject tests until march which is too late and the new test. Any advice? I gues I will just retake the ACT and do really well on that
I took the SAT in January 2015 and I got a 1760. I thought that I would just take it again in October 2015 right before the new test.
I took the ACT in September 2014 and got a 26 (thanks to slacking and an allergy attack on the day of the test). I registered for the ACT in June 2015 in February. In April, I started committing myself to getting at least a 30. When I got my ACT score back, I was relieved to get a 32.
How I got a 32 on the ACT:
-Study! I suggest you get Barron’s ACT and Princeton Review and start drilling yourself. In addition, the ACT website has free practice questions and a question of the day.
-I took the SAT Math II test right before the June ACT test. If you really want a good review on ACT Math, try some SAT Math II tests, they really help alot (I got a 34 on ACT Math as opposed to my 23 ACT Math on the September ACT)
Hope this helps and good luck studying!!!
Even if you are applying EA or ED to a college, you can still take the October SAT. As of today, you will have to register late and pay a fee. However, if you can significantly improve your score then paying this extra fee should be worth it.
Good luck!
(The late registration deadline is September 22nd.)
Thanks
thank you!
