My first attempt of the sat was a 1190 and my second attempt was a 1540. Will it have a negative impact on my application for schools that do not allow score choice (Yale,Stanford etc)
When was your first attemp? How do yo account for the extreme difference?
Most likely, colleges will see that you improved significantly and will probably be a good thing. However, this drastic change may raise some questions depending on the amount of time between the two test dates (as mentioned the reply above).
Are you international? If the two test sittings are close together it may be a red flag suggesting fraud.
It’s a 11 month difference between the 2 tests
Yes I’m from India
My sat 2 scores are 800,800,770 if that helps
India doesn’t have as big of a fraud problem as other countries.
If the SAT didn’t flag you for fraud, I wouldn’t worry about it.
If a college wonders…do you have an explanation? Took a class? Only prepared for the second sitting? You can include that info on your common app if you feel you need to explain.
It seems your SAT 2 scores confirm your higher SAT score. Good job!
