hi i was wondering if anyone cud help…i got a 2130 on the SAT reasoning, sorta messed up the critical reading section…d’you think i need to retake it to get into an ivy league ??

not necessarily, but if you think you can do better, take it again–it can only help.

If the rest of your application is shining and I am REALLY standing out, then I don’t there is a reason to retake it. However, if you know that you can do much better and if the rest of your application is so-so, then YES you should retake.

well…i got a 750 (2 wrong) in math n 750(3 wrong) in writing…and an 11 on the essay…i thot i probably wont be able to do as well another time, even if i do better on critical reading…i mean the chances are less…

the ivies look at ONLY your strongest score in each individual section. so if you take it again, do better on the critical reading but a little worse in the math and writing, then you’re still going to be better off.
