gusy im really freakin out…i did really bad on the sat …soo the maerican avarage is 1500 with 500/500/500 and i have 1620…but even though is above avarage as an overal…i have CR 480/M 530/ W 610…does that count as below avarage and would schools that require 1500 not even recognize me?

What schools are you looking at? A 1620 is low for most schools people talk about on CC, but it could be on the high side for some lesser-known colleges. It all depends on the places you’re considering.

Michigan State University
Montana State University
Dearborn
Adrian College
AND FAR REACH (ANN ARBOR)

Btw i did bad cus i was drunk that day ![]()
i got 760 on math II
and 710 on spanish II
im also an IB student (international) (with 111/120 on the toefl)

Btw i did bad cus i was drunk that day

You’re an idiot…

^ I always thought the average was somewhere around 1800-2000? Correct me if I’m wrong.

^The average is around 500 for each section. The college board posts this info on their site.

1511 was the average score in 2007 [SAT Average (Mean) Scores](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>Understanding SAT Scores – SAT Suite | College Board)

lolilaughed, you have been hanging out at cc - where the average seems to be above 2000!!!

Oh - and I don’t know if there are any schools that “require” a certain score, they will look at your entire record including your SATs. Your job is to find colleges that enroll students with profiles similar to yours (and there are plenty).

^ Haha! That’s what I thought when I read Hippo’s post. I guess it is also because from the area where I live, the average is usually around 2000 as well.

^My post wasn’t in regard to the average SAT score but rather to the fact that the OP was drunk while he took the exam.

And that is an excellent point, Hippo. I wouldn’t use “drunk” as an extenuating circumstance in essays or interviews, pegasus.

Why would you take the SAT 2…inebriated…in the morning??

k guys lets look at the bright side im taking it again in october :P

Then…why even bother worrying about your SAT score now? Your other stats indicate your intelligence so wait until then.

thnx…but u kno im just worried i wont do as good as i want…i mean …yeah …im worried…

do u guys suggest i focus on the readin section try to get a good score on that and keep the other 2 sections liek that?

I would try staying away from the hard stuff and you might be fine on test day.

The reading section is the hardest section to get more points on. You might be better off studying the other two sections.

yah but my readin section is below avarage whilst my writin is over 600…

I think a good studying strategy would be reading up on the effects of alcohol on the brain’s cognitive abilities.
