is a 1400 good enough to get into Claremont Mckenna and other top LACs. not that its the only thing i’m relying on (ECs, GPA, etc), i just don’t feel like typing out all my stats.
<p>Usually, yes – a few years ago it was what was mandatory if you were considering the Ivies – but the ante has been raised. More in the mid-1400s range would be more of a lock, but again the ECs, GPA, athletics, leadership, recs will make the difference since everyone applying to where you’re looking probably all have the same numbers –</p>
<p>For all LACs, 1400 puts you in the middle 50% range or better.</p>
