Hey you guys. I really really wanna go to Rice and i’m an international applicant. Is a SAT I score in the range 2000-2100 good enough for Rice in RD?

If you have a score of 2000+ and have the other factors of admissions (ECs, grades, course work rigor, recommendations, essays and interview) be great, then yes it *might/I. People with 2400 scores have been rejected. People with lower than 2000 have been accepted. SAT is a factor in admissions. You can pretty much get in with almost any competitive score. What matters is your application as a whole, not just a 4 digit number.

This.
Your score seems a little low for Rice imo, but it definitely won’t break your application.

if that is the weak link of your app, then you should be ok. but if you arent spectacular in other fields, the SAT is a little weak for rice

Shoot for a 2100+. If you are an international student that requires Financial Aid, then your chances of admission will be hurt, because for international student they take into account whether or not you need FA. It also depends on what country you are coming from. I hear Rice has a lot of Korean international students, so if you are from Korea, you should try for a 2200+, but if you are from a underrepresented nation, than you will be fine with a 2000-2100.

I’m an international student from Jakarta. But I’m Indian by race. And i do not require financial aid. I hope a 2000-2100 is good enough
I’ll be applying Early Decision btw.

why dont you retake it?
