As a transfer student, is it recommendable to retake the SAT reasoning test or send the high school SAT scores when applying to ivy league, or semi-ivy league schools? I took the SAT reasoning during high school and did not do too well on it, my scores ranged in the 1700s our of 2400.

Also, when sending letter of recommendation from teachers, can I ask the teacher to give me the sealed envelope of the letter and mail it along with my high school transcripts in a bigger package myself? Or do teachers have to mail the recommendation letters themselves?

This is only my experience, but most colleges will say that high school SAT scores only matter for freshman applicants. Since you got a score in the 1700’s, though, it might be worth your while to retake them anyway. You could contact the school, as not all Ivy League schools have the same policies (and some are easier to get into than others).

This is even more specific to each school, but usually the teacher has to mail it himself. This is the way it’s always been for me, and I’ve applied to (literally) 15 schools altogether.
