SAT scores and SCEA

The Yale website says that “past experience suggests that they will [be received in time]” in regards to November 1 test date SAT scores and Early Action. I have not taken the SAT before, but I took the ACT and got a 34. If I apply to Yale SCEA and my test scores from the SAT don’t arrive on time, will I be rejected outright or will I just be waitlisted or considered a regular decision applicant?

You only need to send the SAT (and subject tests) or the ACT. Your ACT is probably high enough that the additional SAT will not make a difference. And your scores will probably get there in time anyway. You will not be rejected based on that. If you didn’t send another test in (The ACT) they would probably just defer you if your SAT scores didn’t come in time, but with your ACT you should be fine and whether they accept/defer/reject you in the EA round will not be based on your lack of SAT.
