SAT scores etiquette

When people ask your SAT scores, do you say the total of the three sections or just the M+CR? Do you say percentiles?
I just want to be clear when people ask instead of overdoing the information or misrepresenting my scores.
Thanks,

Don’t feel the need to be specific if you don’t want to. I’d say something like, “I was happy with them.” Only a moron would push.

The etiquette is not to discuss scores. Report them to the schools to which you are applying. And tell your parents. No one else needs to know.

If someone asks and you WANT to tell them, most people want to hear your overall score (all 3 combined). You can use percentiles if you’d like to be a little more cryptic.

If you’re talking to a parent or someone who doesn’t know the grading scale then percentiles may be appropriate.

Thanks for the advice!
