Just wondering what any previous McGill applicants would suggest: regarding whether to submit or not submit SAT scores if they aren’t crazy high. I know McGill is now test optional…but does anyone know if they superscore? Thoughts on a 1430 SAT superscore (740RW and 690 Math) for the Faculty of Arts? Could this hurt the application? Non superscore was 690/690 (1380). Class rank is 7th out of 490 and full IB. Only have weighted GPA on transcript which is 4.31 and UW might be 3.95 or so? Thanks so much.
The cutoff for McGill Arts last year was a 1340 (700 RW/640 M) so I think you should send your score. It appears that they do superscore.

McGill does not super score! So, if your SAT (not super score is at or above cut off 700RW/640 M) then send it! Otherwise, I would hold off.
Our son applied for Arts/Sciences for fall 2022 admission and he did not send it! His intended major was CS/math and he had a 690 RW/790 M (cut off was 700/700).
He was accepted and will start is 3rd year tomorrow!
Thats awesome on his acceptance and journey! He is 50 points higher than my daughter and his 790 M is impressive! I am tending to think I won’t send it either since it is under the 1500 threshold where I have read competitive schools like to see. Her composite (non superscore) indeed is above the threshold on both assets, but it is borderline for the Math. Yes it qualifies but it doesn’t stand out like the RW. She is in the top 1% of 500 students based on GPA and doing full IB so that probably speaks more about her academics. SO HAPPY to hear someone that didn’t submit! THANKS so much!
I unfortunatly sent my Sat score which was 1440( 650 rw 790math) and the cutoffs for my programs are 700 each my Gpa is also well above (3.9) but ive lost all hope i cant go Sat optional aswell so im stuck with getting rejected now
