no, scores over 700 are not permitted at cornell. no chance at all, what are you thinking?

the average SAT score is projected to be a 2350. The 25th - 75th percentile is 2300-2400, so you might want to take it again

What they are saying isn’t true. The new sat will have a range of around 25th percentile of 2200 to 75th percentile of 2300. At least you are in the middle 50%, but taking it over might be worth it.

stonecold are u insane??? its cornell!!! the average is more like 2390-2410.

Just to put in my two cents, yes your scores are good for Cornell, and also-- I’ve known people who were accepted with 1230’s on the old SAT, and then I also know someone who was rejected with a 1500. I’d say if you have a 1300 old or 2000 new, you have a fair chance if you put a lot of effort into your application.

ya 25th percentile will not be 2200. closer to 1900-2000, maybe only slightly higher.

I predict:

2130 ~ 2270

You’re fine with that score, but I suppose it couldn’t hurt to take it again if you think you can do better. If you think the score is indicative of your academic potential, then don’t bother, since that score won’t hinder your chance for admission, assuming the rest of your application i well put together.

OK< *** r u people smoking? Whatever it is, these people are blatant LIARS! The score range on old is 1280-1460. On the new, it should be somewhere around 2000-2250. These people need a wakeup call. You are totally fine. Now work on your app and forget about SAT.

That old range is a little low, but whatever. And everyone above was joking…

:) thanks everyone…from what ive heard the middle 50% will obviously be lower for cornell than HYPS etc…so hopefully mine are fine…and yeah i’ll focus on the rest of the app now…the possibility of being done wiht standardized testing FOREVER is just too good to pass up

done with standardized testing? gee, I hope you don’t want a masters/doctorate/law/CPA/anything above a bachelor’s degree…

they have guidebooks and college websites that list this information…

below 650 is “weak” for cornell.

Sparticus- You asked me a WHILE back about why maynard furgusen plays at my high school so much (I haven’t been on this website for a long time because it was stressing me out, lol)… he knows my jazz band director so if he is touring in the area he uses our high school as a stop on the tour. Keep an eye out over winter- he usually performs early in the 2nd semester. The high school is Union Endicott High School in Endicott, NY.

P.S. Sorry for using this thread for this message…

1920 - 2180 is actually the 25th to 75th percentile, projected
