SAT scores on collegeboard.com

I have the question about perfoming the SAT scores on collegeboard.com

Percentile*

Biology E – 97
Math Level 1 – 97

*Compared to the class of 2004

What does it mean?

it means 97% of the test takers scored lower than you…

Thank you! I thought abou it, but doubted

97% score lower OR THE SAME as you

although wikipedia says differently
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percentile_rank

OK, then it’s not the outstanding result, I think. As many as 3% (about 60,000) scored more than me in last year.

Not outstanding?

Shut the f*** up. Most of us would kill for a percentile like that.

Do you think it’s really outstanding? Shut up! :-)

It’s very good, but not outstanding for Ivy League applicant.

Just remember that lots of people get mad when smart people are like “Goddamn I can’t believe I got a 750 on my verbal!!”

a 750 and a 760 are very good

How did you learn that my results are 750 and 760? From other threads or from persentiles?

Percentiles…gotta love data tables <a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools;
