Sat scores

My bro has a 2.8 GPA but he got a 1000 on his SAT score but he is very talented in football and should be offered a scholarship soon. Do you think he could get into college with that score since he has the talent on the football field? Honest feedback please

Not at a great school

Does he have any schools in mind? Does he want to play DI, DII, or DIII? Is he first string/starter? Does he have an upward trend on his GPA? Has he taken the SAT more than once? Has he taken the ACT? The ACT is easier for a lot of people than the SAT. So, he should try and take it.

These are some questions to keep in mind. Many football players accepted by an athletic scholarship are really talented. Specially at DI schools.
If your brother is really talented at football, I believe he’ll be able to get an athletic scholarship, whether it’s DI or DIII. However, I would try to raise his SAT score up to 1500+.
The athletic scholarships are very competetive.

Has your brother talked to his coach about recruitments?

Depends on the school. Obviously he should still try and work as hard as he can on his academics. But if his talent is that great, he could probably get into DI schools. I have a friend who has a 3.8 GPA, and only needs an 1800 on his SATs to possibly get a football scholarship to Harvard…

Yea he is talented he is getting looks from temple uconn and toledo but I was just thinking sense he is talented could he just going to school for a football scholarship does he need a high score on the SAT
