SAT - Should I take it the 3rd time?

I’m going to be a senior this upcoming fall.

My 1st SAT I got 1810
2nd SAT I got 1870.

Should I take the ACT on september 8th and the SAT on October 2nd?
Is that a good plan for my upcoming senior year?
or should I take a subject test instead of the SAT?
I’m already a longshot to UCLA, USC, UCSB… so i need something to push me closer to getting in…

I’m going to be a senior too and I got a score similar to yours on my SAT. We have time to improve our scores bro, it all depends on how you use your time. Put in the time and effort each day until the October or November test, and you’ll see improvement. Take subject test after your SAT. By studying for your SAT, you’re essentially studying for Math subject test so you’ll be ready to take that. Also, if you took AP Bio, Chem, World History, or US History, or an AP Language, take that subject test too on the same day. But first take your SATs, then take your subject tests

@kingmufasa thanks for the reply!
Any more opinions?

Go ahead and retake, do the subject tests if you can. You may want to actually just ACT + Subject Tests at this point. One last note on a previous comment. Studying for SAT Math Subject Test will not get you ready for SAT test. HOWEVER, I have noticed that studying for Math Subject Test prepares you extremely well for the ACT Math (35-36 is completely reachable.) Your schools are reaches with your scores right now, so you do need a bump.

yes, do subjects test on the ones you took classes for. make sure you retake the sat as well.
