SAT Strategies

Hi Guys, I just want to ask you to see what do you think about this strategy for getting good score in SAT. If I got 800 in SAT maths the first try or any other section, does that mean the next time I do the SAT I can just skip this section and take a rest? So that I can have more energy and Stamina to do the other sections and avoid my brain being fried. Do you think college will penalize you if they realize this is what you did? Or is it actually fine?

This is silly. Just re-take the whole thing. Most schools will “super-score”, meaning they take your best component scores and consider that your composite score, so you lose nothing.

Getting a zero isn’t going to look good. And I don’t really buy the energy and stamina argument. You could just as easily say “I’ll take the math section in a relaxed way, and consider it as warm-up for the other sections”.

Why play games?

You may end up applying to a school that doesn’t allow score choice (you must send all scores). I don’t think they’d like to see a 200, no matter what else is there.

Hey guys thanks, I think I will still do the maths section but doing it chill

the ability to do just as well a second time is something they do consider

also some schools will want to see your highest sitting score, that is ur total from any one test date, and obviously that probably cant go up if ur getting a significantly lower score on one section
