I heard that not answering certain questions on the SAT can boast your grade. Is it possible to gain a high score even if I don’t answer a majority of the questions. What are some strategies?

I’m a newbie with SAT’s. I’d appreciate any help.

What it means is that it is better to skip a question if you have no clue regarding the answer as there is negative marking for incorrect answers - but not for leaving them blank.

If you haven’t already, buy a copy of the Collegeboard Official sat guide. Take a practice test and then score it. Get to know the scoring system- once you understand it well you’ll have a clear idea of how many questions you need to attempt/answer correctly to reach your target score, how many you blanks you can get away with, etc.

1800 is an above average score and it’s possible to get that by answering less than 70% of all the questions. Pretty crazy right? SAT scoring is unusual. But don’t take my word for it, you have to see it for yourself.
