SAT Study Guide Help

Hi,

I was hoping you guys could give me some advice on how I should study better for the SATs, since I can’t get a good indication of whether what I’m doing is right. (In Grade 10 going to Grade 11.)

The first time I took it, I got approx. 600 CR - 800 M - 500 W, so about 1900 overall and am aiming for a score of 2200+. I’m taking the test in November 2015 (I don’t think taking the new test is a good idea).

I usually do 3 - 4 practice sessions per day and look back on those questions to look at my mistakes and the ones that I got correct, especially for CR and W sections.

I then do some essay practice, but in a different way. I first look at the prompt and try to search some examples which I can use, and then start 25 minutes for writing. In my opinion, since I’m building these examples, it gets easier to draw from them in future essays.

Then I also do some grammar revision, as W is definitely my worst section, and look at common grammar errors.
Additionally, if I’m not too tired, I’ll do vocabulary words since so many people have told me that it’s helpful.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!
