How important is it that I take SAT Subject tests when applying to Yale?
Several years ago, ivy league schools used SAT Subject Test scores as part of the calculation of a student’s Academic Index (http://www.collegeconfidential.com/academic_index). Now that Subject Test scores are optional, no one really knows how important or much weight they are given or how a college calculates an Academic Index when a student doesn’t submit SAT Subject Test scores.
