I have just found out that Berkeley’s policy is quite strict on SAT subject test scores, and I have not taken them for a few reasons.

The thing is that:

I go to school in Switzerland and its not that easy to take the SATs all the time because most students apply to Europe and the UK

I felt that it was stupid to take the Subject Tests because I take the full IB diploma, no APs, and taking history (the subject I want to major in) makes no sense because its a multiple choice test on the AP curriculum which I am hardly familiar with
*My second language is Russian yet they don’t have it on the subject tests which is strange because more people speak it then japanese and hebrew but alright

Anyways do you think I could write them a letter explaining my situation? I am a california resident and I have pretty good SAT I scores.
