Sat Subject Tests- Are my scores ok???

Ok I just got my June Scores-- a bit disappointed.

Spanish- 770 (non-native speaker, but i was sure that i got everything right but one question)
Bio- 770 (expecting an 800)
US History- 760 (Weak..)

So how will colleges see this? Do you think a college would reject me because I didnt get 800s?

p.s.: i have a bunch of other credentials besides sat 2 scores.. like 2320 sat, writing a book, have a wesbite, business, etc .

Err, depends on the college? An idea of where you're applying to would help. Based on your high expectations, are you hoping for Ivies only?

Those scores should suffice IMO.

That's absurd. Thousands of kids get into colleges without 800s

well obviously i mean the nice colleges like ivies.. im thinking uc's and smaller private colleges would look past the non-800s

^I think you should be good. No colleges REQUIRE 800. Harambee said it all....

also, thousands of kids get rejected with 800s.....this is a useless post, I think people in here in CC post their very high scores in order to feel more confident because they are scared to death that top schools will reject them....THEY ARE GREAT SCORES!!! there's no need to ask a question you can answer yourself.

BTW
I'm not disregarding the importance of the SATs but they don't make or break you as a person, neither does the university you attend to......I know for a fact that the person who created this thread will get into an awesome school and he will be happy , so stop worrying about that.

You should have clarified. Not everyone on CC has a desire to attend "nice colleges like ivies".

Quoted for truth.

are you kidding- do you really think that every kid in the ivy's got 800's????

haha woww you've gotta be kidding me, is the OP being serious? 750+ in all subject scores is basically perfect, i don't know what you're complaining about.

no college is going to deny you solely based on subject test scores and those are pretty solid scores anyway. They definitely wont hurt you even at the Ivies.

I am really getting annoyed at how everyone on this site says that anything less than an 800 on a Subject Test is "weak" or "awful". This site is extremely discouraging to good students who get a 700 instead of an 800. I got in the mid 700's on a subject test and I am happy.

Those scores are fine for any school in the country. Worry about your ECs etc now.

I just got my SAT subject tests back.

SAT Literature: 580
SAT Math Level I: 550

Are my scores so terrible that I should just disregard them and take the ACT instead? I can't retake the SAT Subject Test because I plan on retaking SAT I in October my senior year.

EDIT: I plan on applying to schools like Boston University.

Your scores are competitive at any school.

Our valedictorian got 660 in Chem and still got in to Harvard
so I say subject tests don't affect your college acceptance hugely
and those scores are competitive enough

thanks for the posts. It's just super difficult in Southern California to get into nice schools like ivies. So much competition- That's why I was wondering what other CC kids think cause people posted on the results thread how many 800s they got. They make it seem so common it's unfair!!
