Georgetown requires 3 SAT subject tests. Cornell ILR School also requires 3 but one must be math. My daughter wants to apply to both schools, she wants to major in International Relations. Math is not her strongest subject. Her dilemma is if she takes math to fulfill Cornell’s requirement she may shoot herself in the foot for Georgetown. Cornell is not in her top 5. Should she forget Cornell and take a subject test that she is sure she can score in the 700s or should she take math for Cornell and risk a 650?

It appears that ILR is the only school at Cornell that does not require any subject tests.

Wow! The viewbook dated 6/11 said subject test in math was required. I guess they changed it. Wonderful. Thanks for your help.

Glad that worked out for her. If she should later change her mind about Cornell, there are many helpful people at the Cornell CC site.
If your daughter has not yet seen this video, it is a wonderful tribute to the university produced by graduating seniors of the class of 2011. [This Is on Vimeo](http://vimeo.com/23897683)
