My daughter took two SAT Subject tests, World History and US History and she scored 800 on both. However, her ACT was only 26. How do the subject tests get considered in the admissions process? she is mainly applying to Big Ten schools. Thanks.
It depends upon the college. If the college does not request/consider them, then they won’t be considered. For the ones that do consider them, they are less important than the SAT/ACT score.
Big Ten schools, other than Michigan, do not use subject tests to determine admission, and even for Michigan, they are neither required nor recommended but will get some consideration if submitted. An exception for all of those schools is for home-schooled applicants, who are required to submit subject tests, which are important for determining their admission.
