If i take regents in my school for every course should i still take sat subject tests?

Yeah, why wouldn’t you?

regents are easier and are limited to NY state. SAT IIs are more difficult and can be used to compare you to people outside/inside of state.

What I mean is a 800 on the chem SAT II is a lottttt more impressive than a 100 on the chem regents.

If your’re going to be applying to non-SUNY schools you reallly should take the SAT IIs. You should also have them for majors/programs that are geared towards a certain subject (ie engineering=physics/math).

However they arent needed and whether they make a difference or not to college admission depends a lot on the caliber of schools youre applying to.

Hope that helps

Whether you should take IIs depends mainly on colleges to which you intend to apply. Majority neither require nor consider SAT IIs for admission but most high ranks do. Go here for a list of colleges that require, recommend or consider SAT IIs: [Compass: Admissions Requirements](<a href=“SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group”>SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group)

If you are not applying to any colleges on the list, you can skip taking SAT IIs

thanks for the info!! The reason I’m asking is because my school hasn’t mentioned SAT subject tests to us at all…I’m a rising sophomore by the way. The first time i had ever heard of htem was on this website so i don’t really know much about them
