SAT superscore for NMSQT?

So I’m a semifinalist for NMSQT competition, and they tell us to send them our SAT score. If you took the test twice, do they take the highest from each category (Math, verbal, writing) and add that up? Or just look at the overall highest?

I took it once and didn’t too well, so I’m retaking the SAT this October.
But I’m afraid if I put on the application “Send score in October” and I do worse this time around, it’ll look bad. >.< So I don’t know if I should send the score tha t I have now, or send the score I’m going to get in October…

Thanks!

Last year you had to have a combined CR+M of 1300 and a certain subscore on the writing but I’m not sure what that was. I think if you make at least a 2000 on your SAT you should be fine. Since the lowest NMSF PSAT qualifying score is 200, I think anything 2000 and greater would be just fine. Either way, if you are not happy with your score, take it again in October and make sure you put NM as one of your free recipients. They do not superscore, and they will see all your scores anyway and take your best one.
