SAT Test Prep Seminars - POLL

I talked about this in another thread, but I was sort of curious about what you guys thought.

I took the SAT exam last month and I scored pretty high, but I wouldn’t have been able to do it without any help because God knows I have a slight case of ADD.

Anyways, I decided that since I wouldn’t be able to take the preparation journey alone, I’d recruit a company that would be able to train me quickly and effectively. That said, I spent about 3 or 4 weeks shopping around. I called DreamShare Learning, Princeton Review etc. and ultimately went with DreamShare Learning.

To make a long story short, do you think it’s best to go it alone (I know some friends who have done it, but ultimately scored low - maybe I’m answering my own question here, but everyone’s experience is different) or do you think it’s best to search for help. For me it paid off, but I’m not the type of person that has the ability to study alone. I’m easily distracted.

Let me know.

A tutor may be useful, but a group class is pointless.

I personally prefer practicing alone.

I think it depends on the person and if they have a unique situation. For instance, all of my classes are taught in a second language, so I felt it was necessary to get extra help and my SAT prep course turned out to be very useful. But it’s not worth the $$ for everybody.
