Hello,
My general SAT score is 1380 (M:650+ E:630) but my Subject SAT Score (in US History) is 450. Will it be wise to this Subject SAT score to colleges because the score is not attractive. I am thinking it might give bad impression to colleges. So, better I ought not share.
Can someone share own experience and advise please ?
A 450 will not enhance your application. Don’t report it.
Only one college in the nation, Georgetown, requires you to provide all SAT subject test scores for any tests you have taken. For other colleges you should likely withhold the score unless you are applying to a college that specifically requires two subject test scores when you apply for admission (only a handful do) and you need the test to meet that two requirement.
In any event, you need to determine one fact first concerning whether you can successfully withhold the score. Many high schools put all your test scores on the official high school transcript sent to colleges. Thus, for those, withholding the score via College Board may accomplish nothing. Thus, you should determine what your high school does.
