SAT vs. ACT Help!

Hi all. I am in need of advice on my future standardized tests. I am a senior this year, and have approximately 4-5 months left before my applications need to be finished. Here is what I currently have:
SAT:
December 2016 - 1350 (I was recovering from a concussion)
June 2017 - 1430

ACT:
February 2017 - 31
April 2017 - 32

I clearly seem to do better at the ACT despite the fact my PSAT was National Merit level. My dilemma is as follows: I am wanting to apply to top schools (Stanford, Rice, Brown, Cornell, etc), and my main problem is currently with Stanford. They require any and ALL scores. I have already signed up for the September ACT in efforts to raise it to a 34, however I am scared to death about my SAT. I have all of my EC’s in line, and a fantastic transcript, but I am nervous about this SAT ruining any and all chances I may have.

Should I retake the SAT and attempt for a better score, or just hope a better ACT will pull me through? I don’t want to look like the person who keeps retaking tests and have ‘taken too many.’

You don't have a dilemma at the moment. Hopefully you have safer schools in your list.

I do have safer schools, however my question is: Is it worth taking the SAT yet again for the sake of Stanford since every other school on my list only requires one of the tests? I am planning to submit my ACT everywhere else.

You are banking on getting a 34 for this scenario. There is no dilemma until you see that. 6 tests vs 5? It is your call. Stanford is already highly unlikely even with a 34.
