<p>Hi guys. I registered late for the SAT 3 weeks ago and I’m schedules to take the test on November 3 but I’m on wait list. </p>

<p>Now I’ve decided that I want to take my SAT on a later date. I’m thinking maybe since I’m wait listed, maybe I can skip the test day and still have no amount deducted from my credit card. So I emailed collegeboard and this is what they had to say</p>

<p>*Please be advised that when you register for wait list, you will be charged applicable registration fees, including wait list fees, only if you are **admitted *to the test center on test day. The credit card you submit for payment will be preauthorized $1.00 upon wait list registration. This preauthorized charge will be removed five business days after you register. Therefore there is nothing additional that is required of you if you decide not to attend the November test.</p>

<p>Now my question is, If I decide not to attend the November test, will there be any charge deducted from my credit card?
If so, how much is it? Am I only gonna be charged $1(preauthorized charge)?</p>

<p>I emailed collegeboard over and over but they kept giving me the exact same reply everytime.</p>

<p>The email is fairly self-explanatory. No, you won’t be charged. Except probably the $1 as ‘This preauthorized charge will be removed five business days after you register’.</p>

<p>Yes I know but what confuses me is it says IF I get admitted in the test centre, I won’t be charged anything. It didn’t say if I didn’t attend.</p>

<p>The only thing they mentioned about what will happen is if I don’t attend, is that there won’t be anything “additional” required of me. That word makes me think that there will be something else I have to pay.</p>

<p>No, it says if you get admitted, you will be charged.</p>

<p>If you don’t show up, you won’t get admitted, so you won’t be charged.</p>

<p>And the $1 charge was just to verify the validity of your credit card. That should have already been credited back to you. So . . . total cost = $0</p>
