I also put “A” for the drawing question. I felt like it should have been “by drawing” but I am not a grammar nazi.

No, I am sure that question was not experimental, but I don’t remember the answer.

I also put “A” for the drawing question. I felt like it should have been “by drawing” but I am not a grammar nazi.

No, I am sure that question was not experimental, but I don’t remember the answer.

The second one is correct. It should have been “Using a pen name, the author wrote…” instead of “The author wrote a series of detective novels using a pen name…” because “using a pen name” modifies author, not novels and, as such, needs to be next to the object it’s modifying (author).

i have 2 large writing sections(section 2 and 5 i think) which one of them is experimental? I don’t remember which one is deep blue

If anyone remembers the no errors for the identifying errors questions, I’d greatly appreciate it!

I still remember one of NO ERRORS in ISE(#12-29)
was about… someone characterizing something… Elizabeth?..

Was the one about drawing…,… ALSO a no error question for #12-29. My friends saw so.

how many no errors did you guys get from 12-29

@rd2012
I got 3.

“Drawing from the stories the Indian tribe had told him, Joe Schmoe has written many stories for kids and adults.”
This wasn’t the sentence…it was “drawing on.” that implies that he took the stories that the indians told him and wrote books based off of that inspiration. imo.

What was the one about deer? Was it “seem fearless” or something?

@treating
I thought it should have been seemed fearless. The first verb was past tense “was”. Since that wasn’t an option to be changed, the sentence must have been past tense.

@ZaZa
WOW excellent memory! Was the answer for this A since it should have been having drawn on… or was it no error???

@Chinaboys
Why should it have been drawn on…?
The sentence is correct the way it is.

I had 4 no errors because I chose no error on #27 “their backs…, their bellies…”
ehhh… I knew it was their BACKS… but BACKS…backs…back…

@UPenns
AHHH that must be the worst feeling ever. :(

I’m about to have a mental breakdown over changing to “like” from “as” at literally the last second. I thought I had an 800 in the bag. What do you guys think the curve will be like tho? what would 1 wrong and a 10 be? 2? 3? I’m praying for a 12 at this point, but they seem quite rare.

What were the options for the “drawing” one? I can’t remember what I put.

@eu4ria
“Drawing on the stories the Indian tribe had told him, Joe had written many stories for kids and adults.”
I don’t remember all of the options, but I remember that Drawing from was option A. I picked E, no error.

@Zaza i distinctly remember “drawing from” because I remember thinking “wow that should be drawing upon but w/e thats not the error here”

Only “drawing” was underlined and it was drawing on. I remember thinking it should be “drawing on” but it wasn’t possible since you cannot change “on”

Crap, I might have put E too. I really can’t remember! I’m pretty sure it’s drawing from though, as you drawing on refers more to using your own skills or experiences.
