SAT Writing thread

DAMMIT i put for example… but looking back on it, its in addition b/c the first sentence said “adaptable, smaller, portable” which has nothing to do with a human-size robot -_-

but i think it said “the generation of new techonologies have grown smaller, more adaptable…etc.” no?

@anonomous

No, they said they would change the rules in between contests…right?

Noo not another one, damn I was so confident when I was going through that writing section.
Well sitting at -3.75 now. I really thought “should of” was correct because people usually say “should have”. I figured CB was just trying to trick people into picking that.

Edit: Nvm now that I think about it people usually say “should of”

Could someone clarify:

3 No errors for 35 question
3 no errors for 10 min.

WHat was the question like #24 about drawing…,…
What was #12 on the 10 min sec. something about variety shows and entertainment? Was this no error?

For those of you who chose “In addition”.
Why did you think “Added to which” was wrong? The others were obviously not correct, but I pondered about these two.

“immediately before sentence 10”
“In addition,”
“such intervention”

@Chinaboys

25 Drawing on …elders stories… No error!

12(S10) - A staple of … programming in first few decades?

I think it was no error, which is choice A?
Choice A was “A staple of … , variety shows featured musicians, comedians, and …”
Choice D was “A staple of … , musicians, comedians, and … featured on variety shows”

for improving praragraphs, did anyone get

“have shown”

Does anyone remember a question from identifying sentence errors,
one error being “being hoaxes” ? I forgot what the content was and other choices were X(

does anyone know what my predicted score is? 80 MC, 8 essay? im hoping for better on the essay, but i really dont know…i filled up the 2 pages completely and had decent examples, but i dont think i wrote it well.

80MC and 8 essay is about 780

Let me ask a question: when you guys say “no error” are you also counting the writing question multiple choice questions where choice (A) is always the same as the sentence?

@risubu
Nope, we are only referring to 12-29, the ISEs

you guys got 3 no errors for just 12-29?

bob, that depends on the curve. I got an 8 essay with 80MC back in january. I got an 800.

@Seahawks506
Which is why I said about 780? 800 for 80MC and 8 essay is pretty generous lol.

So wait the answer for the since i left/after i left is definitely not since leaving right? dammit :(

no… they said they would change the programming of the robot… almost 97% sure thats what it said cuz i kept on rereading that section to make sure it was the intervention…

uhm for the writing passage, for the “have shown” one, the answer was “correct as it is” right!?

yeah that’s what i put

^That’s what I put!
