Did anyone notice the error in should of in one of the ISE’s? I thought it should have been “should have”. I think the test makers were tricking most native speakers because we usually pronounce “should’ve” like “should of”

I had DEEP BLUE, a humanizing robot?, passage (#30-35)
and I had WRITING BOOKS & IMAGINATION to children? etc… (#30-35)

so I guess SECTION 6 WRITING was Non-experimental (DEEP BLUE)?

@UPenns
Deep blue was non-experimental, correct.

@bob that was an answer?? i thought it was something like “after I _” where the _ was definitely wrong so i disregarded…and focused on “since leaving” vs “since i left”.

@bob12345
I know what you talking about, but the question asked “WOULD OF” I think…

“Never had I…, I would of…”

Well, despite, that’s the answer :)

@bob I remember that one as well, I think I left it at no error since ‘should of’ was technically correct. Can’t remember the rest of the sentence though.

^Should of and would of is NOT correct.
It’s should HAVE and would HAVE
or
Should’ve and would’ve

@PencilxBoxes
that’s what I meant :P

@SAT100
Bro, should of is not “technically correct” lol
Your brain fools you into thinking should’ve sounds identical to should of.
The rest of the sentence was irrelevant, since the mistake was at “should of”.

Guys, please tell me what you got for improving paragraphs:

In addiotion,
Before sentence 10
…

@Stonesn
I also chose Before sentence 10.

1.place the sentece before sentence 10

Some dont believe that deep blue would have won because of it

it should have been intervention

E was #35 computers can never write literature or sing

What was the essay prompt?~?!?!? Did it said it had to be positive?!?!?!?

I think I put ‘in addition’ as well

wait… for the “before sentence 10” thing… did it SAY before 10 or did you guys choose the choice that said “after sentence 9”???

I didn’t get interventon

should’ve been “this last minute change” for

did you guys chose for example or in addition for the writing passage?

In addition I think was right

but it said “This last minute change in the rules” but there was no change in the RULES just the programming of the robot so it doesnt make the same mistake twice.

Pretty sure it was intervention.
And to iwishicould, it was immediately before sentence 10
