<p>Well first of all, recognize runons and learn NOT to write them.</p>
<p>I got an 800 writing with a 9 on the essay and an 80 on the MC. To study for the MC, do A LOT of practice problems. The big blue SAT book should do.</p>
<p>For the essay… sorry, can’t help you there.</p>
<p>In a thread I started, asking what books are good in preparation for CR, a member, lotf629, recommended that anthologies (I remember the poster specifically mentioned The Norton Reader as well as another book) not only help with CR, but can help with writing application essays too. So I don’t see why that can’t apply to the essay on the SAT, so maybe try anthologies.</p>
