Sat

I tryed to ask these questions to my guidance counselor but she wasn’t very helpful. When us the earliest year in high school you can take the SAT? Are schools legally obliged to offer the SAT to students regardless of what year of high school there in? Can a school exclude a student because of age from an officially sanctioned SAT review? How much of the cost of the SAT is the student supposed to pay?

-Thanks alot, I really appreciate it. Feel free to im me at chriscraftt1 . Thanks

You can take the SAT as early as you want, theoretically, you could write it the day you were born if you had appropriate photo ID. I’m pretty sure they’re legally obligated to offer it, but if you register online, they wouldn’t be able to stop you. The student is supposed to pay the full cost of the SAT, I mean, who else would pay it? (unless you have a fee waiver)

Your arrangement is with College Board, not your high school. You sign up and choose a site where you want to take it. The most convenient is usually your high school, but sometimes people sign up late and there’s no more space and you have to go someplace else to take it Even 7th graders take it for the talent search programs.

Thanks I appreciate it. I talked to my principal and she overruled the guidence counselors decison to not let me take the SAT.
