<p>I’ve noticed that getting cable TV through Comcast is rather expensive and getting Dish Network or DirecTV is so much cheaper. Does anyone here have any experience with get satellite in an apartment?</p>
<p>Main issue is mounting the satellite dish. Depends on whether you have a balcony pointing the right way, but even more important is the landlord’s policy. May not be permitted to mount a dish outside.</p>
<p>With DirectTV you have to get a 2year contract which is a deal breaker for me. Comcast isin’t expensive if you share with your roommates. I ordered their double play package with 12 Mbps internet and Digital Starter cable for $66 a month for 6 months.</p>
