SATII... do they really matter?

How do your SATII scores affect your application for
-Princeton (requires 3)
-Stanford (recommends 2)
-Johns Hopkins (I think they recommend 2)

… would those schools flat out reject you if you have bad subject test scores??

Thank yoU!

Well…if they require it, obviously if you don’t take them your application will not be complete. xD But, I think they look at those scores like they do with the SAT I. I don’t think they’d reject you just because your scores were a little bad. Okay, if you did really bad, I’m sure it’d be a black mark on your application, but if you did at least better than average, I’m sure you’re okay. Your test scores aren’t the only thing that matter. If you have a strong application, don’t worry so much.

Just because you have bad scores doesn’t mean you don’t have no chance of getting in. The same would go for if you had good scores and no clubs and a bad GPA. The scores aren’t all that are going to get you into the school but the application as a whole.

What do you consider as a “really bad” score? How would schools like Johns Hopkins view scores in the mid-600’s?
