im applying to mostly very competitive schools and i was wondering if my SAT scores were good enough or if i should give another go at it, since i only took it once.
SAT: 2220
SAT subjects
spanish-800
chemistry-730

I just see so many other people with 2300’s and higher applying to the same schools.

While it is true that most people have 2300 and higher, when you are applying to the most competitive schools it really doesn’t matter if you have a 2200 or 2300. Some people have 2400 and don’t get in while others have 2200 and get in. It is all subjective and only 7-10% of applicants get in anyway. It just depends on what the admissions officers are looking for on that particular day. I say go for it. Apply. I know someone who didn’t get into Harvard but went to Princeton instead.
