I’m from the Southeast where the ACT’s are stressed over the SAT’s. I want to transfer to an Eastern school as a college sophmore, should I take the SAT’s now?

If you want to know the specific admission criteria of the colleges you’re considering, you can find them on the collegeboard website. As far as I know, SAT and ACT are equally regarded at most schools in either east or west. If anything, you should focus on possibly taking the SAT II’s if you haven’t done so (although most school don’t require it if you took the ACT).

Are you in high school at the moment or hoping to transfer out?

If it is the east coast, they will most likely ask for SAT. Do them all! SAT and the subject tests and the ACT!

Can’t hurt, but some schools wont accept them after HS.
