Are any Cornellians nice enough to give someone a place to stay on Saturday night? Since I know you can't register to be hosted overnight on a Saturday through the Red Carpet Society...

I don't think it's an issue of having a place for you to stay. The host would need to let you tag along, unless you have something planned already. If that's the case then you could stay with whoever you are having plans with. Sat night is a big partying night, most fraternity parties won't allow pre-frosh in, small collegetown parties are invitations only, and you would need to be 21 to get into any bars.

why visit on a saturday? doesn't give any insight as to the real life of a cornellian...

well, I'm not exactly visiting on Saturday,
it's because my parents want me to go to the MVP and I'm pretty down with going, but the only flight arrives in Ithaca on Saturday and the program starts on Sunday...
I don't want to have to pay for an extra hotel, but it looks like it's all I can do.

why don't you try to find out who the Cornell alum chair is in your area, and ask if they would refer your name to a current student from your area who might host you.
