When I heard the vehicle was being searched I wasn’t surprised, it was where she was last. I’m sure every family member, staff, friends, etc. will be interviewed, it doesn’t make them suspects.

Just bothered me as irrelevant to finding this person but yeah.
I hope they find her unharmed, but unfortunately that’s not what statistics show.
I am bothered that Orange man is calling in FBI resources for this when he doesn’t give a crap about other important things.

That’s my fear. She’s 84. They found blood. Someone at her age and sounds like other issues with meds needed (I hope she has access) and immobility - it’s not good.
These three kids - my god - what kind of monster is out there.
With all the cameras on streets today, I hope they have something - that maybe they just aren’t sharing.

I laughed at the idea of Kash Patel coming to “help” as he spoke too soon in the Charlie Kirk shooting, putting out bad information. He is the opposite of help.
I always get a little put out when a story like this leads the news. I am totally sympathetic about the situation, of course, but it doesn’t rise to the occasion of leading a national news broadcast. I don’t like when news shows that kind of bias — Savannah is one of us so it rises in importance.

Heard on one of the network newscasts that a problem in the investigation is that the homes sit on large lots away from the street. So evading a neighbor’s Ring camera (or similar) is very easy. The searches we see on TV- downtown Chicago, Brooklyn, Boston– are largely urban where law enforcement can triangulate from several angles and cameras. A long driveway (surrounded by other homes with similar) is tough when trying to recreate a crime scene.
I live on a small lot- I can hear my neighbors microwave go off when our windows are open. I never saw that as an advantage until now!

I am a former editor, which is why showing that kind of bias irks me so. I sat in many a news mtg making that kind of decision.

One of my fears has come to fruition. Apparently there is more than one ransom note and one “imposter” has been caught. The blood sample turned out to be Nancy’s.
So there’s een no contact and there’s not even a ransom note? ugh
Every one of us with elderly parents is also wondering what next? Can’t we even protect our parents?
I can’t imagine what this poor woman is going through. She’s in a helpless situation. She doesn’t have her medication. She’s scared.
She’s suffering but like most mothers, she’s probably mostly thinking about what her kids are going through/suffering.
My heart just goes out to her and her family, regardless of whether or not they’re on TV. We all can relate to how we would feel in a similar situation. I’m just so tired of the evil.

I understand being skeptical.
This is the parent of a person that is on our televisions every day. A person who’s family is talked about and who’s personal life is part of their persona on a news entertainment morning show.
I don’t think the coverage would be different if it was a person of color’s parent who disappeared in this unusual way. Who is on a national television program. And who wants this story to be publicized. It’s a very unique thing.
All of the NBC universe is showing and covering this story. It’s getting a lot of press.
