Savannah Guthrie's Mother

I’m curious if it’s possible to trace crypto accounts. If not, what is to prevent several people from requesting ransom money? Kidnappings could increase dramatically. I really hope they are able to find her.

Crypto very much lends itself to criminal activity. This has always been one of the worries.

No, crypto accounts cannot be traced. They are unregulated and unregistered.

Scary - how can anyone with money be safe then. Horrible story. Let’s hope for a happy ending.

It would be political for me to discuss the issues with crypto. Suffice it to say that we “could” put regulations on crypto if we wanted to. And we should want to.

I’m not so worried about her medications because they are so close to the border. I believe they could easily drive to Mexico to purchase just about anything without a prescription. Hopefully the police are watching for this.

Why?
Why would this lady be targeted?

What the F is wrong with people?

My guess is that it may be someone employed by her household for interior or exterior work who knows her daughter’s fame & assumes that the daughter is wealthy.

Savannah Guthrie earns about $8 million per year & her net worth is estimated to be $40 million.

According to KTLA, Savannah Guthrie’s brother-in-law is a prime suspect.

Ugh. wondered if that might be the case but didn’t even want to put such a thought in writing. Hoping that is not the situation – and more importantly, hoping for the mom’s safe return. Just bizarre and sad.

Yesterday they implied it was someone familiar with- so I thought maybe a vendor or something.

I hope they find her. They found blood plus she’s 84.

Just horrible.

Authorities investigating the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie have addressed claims that Tommaso Cioni, Savannah Guthrie’s brother-in-law, is a “prime suspect” in the case.

“We have not identified a suspect or person of interest in this case,” a spokesperson for The Pima County Sheriff’s Department told TMZ on Feb. 4

Cioni was falsely labeled a “prime suspect” in the case by former NewsNation host Ashleigh Banfield, who claimed on her podcast, Drop Dead Serious, that a source told her Cioni was under investigation and that his car had been seized. Authorities also denied this claim.

One major network (not sure which one as I just walked into the room when the statement was made) reported that the brother-in-law/sister’s car has been towed by authorities (presumably to look for evidence).

The last person to see the missing person was the brother-in-law. Dropped the missing person off at her home Saturday night. She was reported missing the next day.

Ashleigh Banfield on her podcast at about noon EST (and then it was on Youtube) reported that the son in law was a suspect and that his/wife’s car was impounded. She said it was confirmed by law enforcement, but all afternoon that has been denied by the sheriff’s office so I don’t think we can take that as confirmed.

After Banfield’s report, a lot of the other True Crime podcasts picked up the story and then it was hard to tell where the info was coming from, except that the Pima county sheriff’s office continued to deny there were any suspects or persons of interest.

Is she legit or a crazy conspiracy theorist ?

She’s not my favorite true crime person but had an hour show on NewNation for a couple of years and has been with CNN and some Canadian and other newscasts over the years.

I think now a lot of the podcasters want to be the first to break a story and thus will publish with a minimum of info or confirmation. I was in the middle of making phone calls when I read it so didn’t dig deep but sort of accepted it at face value, but then later in the day when the statements by the sheriff were doubling down on the ‘no person of interest yet’ I decided she’d jump the gun and her sources may not be that strong.

No one else seems to be reporting this other than to say Banfield reported it.

No major networks are reporting the BIL as a suspect. Seems like Ashleigh Banfield is out on a limb here.

While I haven’t heard the SIL is a suspect I did see the news saying the sister’s house was searched today. (Likely Fox News because I was at my parent’s house and that is what they usually watch.)

At this point, I would guess everyone is a suspect. It would make sense to search the car if that was the last place she was seen.

I can’t believe Trump is sending Kash Patel to AZ.

My wife made the comment last night and it angered me a bit because this is a missing human being but she asked what the feds are doing for all the non white people missing, whose families don’t know where they are, including immigrants.

I guess because Ms Guthrie is on tv….

I hope they resolve this soon and in a positive way.
